Hidden behind the label of each ALPINE OAK 600 x 2100 x 26mm panel sold at Bunnings, was a secret design competition asking you to submit a photo of your DIY project using our panels. We put it out there and you certainly grabbed it by the horns. The ALPINE OAK panel design competition saw a huge number of entrants (both big and small) from all around the country – fighting for the chance to win a $500.00 voucher to be spent at the Bunnings store of purchase.
Submitted projects ranged from cupboards and vanities to wall units and cabinetry, to kitchens and study nooks. The winner (chosen by ASH staff) was to submit a well presented, quality image that showcased creative use of the panels. It was narrowed down to just 7.
The winner – David Katsaros from Western Australia – broke away from the pack. The judges felt David’s entrant of an outdoor kitchen projected both the beauty of ALPINE OAK characteristics and the benefits of using laminated hardwood panels to reduce manufacture time.
Due to the vast number and quality of projects submitted, ASH are excited to announce that we will continue the competition into the coming years.
We loved seeing what you can do with our panels. Keep them coming. If I could just offer one bit of advice for those planning on entering next year – take a quality photo! Some of you produced some fantastic projects but the images were unusable. Get out there and show us what you can do with an ALPINE OAK panel.
