ASH achieve PEFC CoC until 2023

August 22nd, 2016

Australian Sustainable Hardwoods (ASH) have completed third party certification for sustainability once again. This extends ASH’s accreditation of logs, sawn timber, processed timber products, veneered products, glue laminated and finger jointed products until 2023.

ASH’s accreditation is for Chain of Custody (CoC) for The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). PEFC is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) through independent third-party certification. ASH’s certification was conducted and verified by the Engineered Wood Products Association of Australia (EWPAA).

PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards.

PEFC maintains comprehensive databases to ensure easy access to relevant information about certificate holders. To see if your supplier has an up-to-date certificate, visit the PEFC certificate registry here.
