One of the key advantages of using the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for GoodWood Victorian Ash is that you can obtain more credits with the Green Star System.
We all know that hardwood timber is better than carbon neutral but now you have the data to show it.
The attached document details the EPD as follows “An EPD is a standardised and varied way of quantifying the environmental impacts of a product based on a consistent set of rules known as a PCR (Product Category Rules).
Environmental Product Declarations within the same product category from different programmes may not be comparable. EPDs of construction products may not be comparable if they do not comply with EN 15804.”
The attached EPD is an industry average for native hardwood and we hope to have completed our individualised EPD shortly. Designers and architects can utilise this EPD to obtain more credits with the Green Star system for now. We expect the new EPD will reveal that our unique kiln drying process will be one of the factors that improve GOODWOOD Victorian Ash even further. Watch this space…
