Project
Filter encapsulates a smart Scandinavian design, with simple lines and a subtle palette. In the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, DesignOffice created a coffee destination for city-goers.
DesignOffice is an award-winning architectural and interior design practice based in Melbourne with the attitude that ‘design responses are shaped with an understanding and empathy towards each client and every brief’. Established in 2008, DesignOffice have a wealth of knowledge under their belt and a skilled team to carry out their authentic designs.
DesignOfficeexplained Filter as ‘reflective of the crafted simplicity of the food and drink, while referencing a Scandinavian palette; effortless and clean yet layered with subtlety’.
GOODWOOD Victorian Ash was used throughout this project, particularly for the two custom-made island units, the perimeter wall paneling and the standing benches in the windows. DesignOffice have furniture extraordinaire John Beckwith to thank for the beautiful craftsmanship.
GOODWOOD Victorian Ash is very easy to work, cut, stain and build with – as demonstrated in Filter. The wall panels have been transparently stained with pastel colours of pink, green and blue, adding an extra creative layer to the project.
This clean, sophisticated design and build is the perfect example of how GOODWOOD Victorian Ash can create synergy throughout an entire space.
