The Space
Swift Walk Arcade transforms a narrow, concrete breezeway into a functional, multi-use arcade for residents within Assemble's Swift Walk housing development in Kensington, Victoria. A repetitive glulam frame, manufactured using Plantation Oak mass timber, was prefabricated into modules at ASH's Heyfield facility allowing it to be installed onsite in a matter of days. Stretching between two apartment buildings, the simple but meaningful timber structure welcomes residents to a once-residual thoroughfare.
