The Space

Uber Shed 2 is dark, moody (in the best possible way) and utterly charming.

Uber Shed 2 portrays the ultimate meaning of ‘transformation’, having been renovated from an ‘off the shelf’ shed to an architectural triumph. Both functional and cosy, this is a shed of Australian dreams.

Designed by the team at Jost Architects, Uber Shed 2 embodies an idyllic rural retreat. Jost Architects are a Melbourne based practice committed to ‘projects that not only have the most functional result but be of a high quality contemporary design and on budget for clients’.

JOST ARCHITECTS

“The great thing about designing a shed is that there is no preconceived idea about what a well-designed or contemporary shed looks like, especially in Australia. Sheds in Australia have always been utilitarian structures”

The brief was one that paid tribute to the collectables housed within, including a treasured vintage car collection and prized motorbikes. The design required a contemporary approach, using stained timber, leather and classic memorabilia to complete the space.

IronAsh 105×19 cladding and 90×45 battens were used to encase Uber Shed 2. IronAsh is the perfect exterior solution. Made from H3 treated Victorian ash timber, IronAsh is a sustainable, Australian made and manufactured product that is both beautiful and durable. Learn more about the perfect exterior choice here.

JOST ARCHITECTS

“Drawing from the natural environment, the palette included IronAsh cladding and battens. The large area of [IronAsh] timber cladding sites easily within the hues of the huge gums and wont be out of place as it silvers”
